The combo formed by Above the Tree & Drum Ensemble du Beat returns with the new single "Talker X".

Exactly ten years after the release of their first full-length album, "Cave_Man", a new chapter is added to the distinctive artistic journey of Marco Bernacchia (Above the Tree, Stregoni) and Edoardo Grisogani (Drum Ensemble du Beat, tetuan). The single, in its "radio edit" version, previews the upcoming album "Afrofulu," set to be released in digital and CD (jewel box and handmade deluxe edition).

Starting with beats and rhythms recorded by Edoardo Grisogani and Luca Rizzoli at the NuFabric Studio in Fermo, Marco Bernacchia - primarily in the role of artistic producer - edits, transforms, and rearranges the material, creating a compelling and hypnotic pan-metropolitan rhythmic texture seasoned with black vocal samples: a sound that is distinctly contemporary, oblique, rooted in both Afrobeat and wild electronics, as well as tropical psychedelia.

The single is accompanied by a music video created by Marco Bernacchia himself: a kaleidoscopic and multifaceted collage that reflects the idea of the collapse of Western civilization, represented here by the juxtaposition of heavily armed young Africans with car races often associated with gambling.
